IELTS is the International English Language Testing Service. This test measures the ability to communicate in English for students intending to study or work where English is the primary language. The test covers listening, writing, reading and speaking. The course prepares the student for the general test or the academic test which covers academic reading and writing.
Students should be at least at the pre-intermediate level before attempting to prepare for this test. Normally, 42 hours of study is required to reach a pass mark of 6 – 6.5 and 60 hours to reach 6.5 or higher.
